Ballet Shoes

For my sisters 13th birthday i painted her this. I got the original photo off the web and then tried to paint it as accurately as possible. My sister Lee was extremely happy with this.

This is a painting which i produced during matric. Once again i composed the image on Photoshop; playing around with effects. The background is very much improvised, had a lot of fun doing it. The contrast in textures is what makes the painting work in my opinion. I managed to seel this at my Matric Art Exhibition.

Adri

 

This is an oil painting of my friend Adri that I produced when I was still in highschool. It is possibly one of my favourite works of art that i have ever created. I edited the original photo in Photoshop and then I went to straight onto canvas. The painting now hangs in my sisters room.



 

Self Portrait

One of my more abstract pieces which I also initially composed on Photoshop. The final oil painting is one that has a peaceful yet morbid touch to it. Up close it looks like a bunch of shapes but when standing from a distance it reveals a distorted face.
